Creating New Pressible Control

I've created a new control by creating a control class and a flat renderer class for it.  It functions fine except it doesn't change state like the other UI elements.  I get a accurate selected() when my Changed() callback is called but, when I trace into the custom renderer class, it seems as if all the state variables are the default values.

Also, in reference to a previous discussion ("Nuclex in Winform"), when I write my own input capturer, where do I get a valid InputManager?  I need to call it to update.
